AWOL : Alcohol Without Liquid

Dominic Simler, age 30, has a new invention...  and it's going to get you drunk.  The invention is a new way to consume alcohol, not by drinking it but by inhaling it.  You won't get a hangover or have to worry about carbohydrates, you'll just get drunk.  It's supposed to revolutionize the way alcohol is served in bars and it's already coming to the U.S.  It's debut will be in New York City and as you probably guessed it's being met with opposition.

Promoted as the "ultimate party toy," alcoholic vapor has been a gigantic hit in London, England.  Alcohol Without Liquid (AWOL) is created in a machine that mixes a shot of alcoholic liquid with oxygen, creating a cloudy vapor that is inhaled through the mouth and/or nose.  Once you inhale this mixture it goes straight into your blood, creating the same "effect" as if you drank an alcoholic beverage... except there is a twist.  The twist is that you didn't drink an alcoholic beverage therefore there is nothing for your liver to process out, nor will there be a hangover.  In fact, there are no carbohydrates in general associated with it.  So men...  that means no excuses for having that disgusting beer belly!

You can choose which kind of alcohol is loaded into the machine, then you pay about $10 bucks and 'poof' the alcohol you chose is mixed with oxygen in a little chamber and you inhale it... for about 20 minutes (how cool is that?)!  Bars are starting to stock them so look at it this way, it gives new meaning to the pick up line, "hey sweetie can I buy you a shot?"  If she says yes, it's at least a 20 minute commitment there, you're in!

This device was launched in England and needless to say has been quite controversial.  With it's debut here in the State's you can bet it will be a hot topic of debate for the women of MADD to get angry over.
