I know that there has been a ton of talk, articles and blog posts over the years about MADD, but I thought I would put my own spin on the matter and try and show both sides of the story because there are always two sides to every story, good or bad.

When the organization Mothers Against Drunk Driving or MADD for short was formed way back in 1980, it was formed by a woman named Candice Lightner after her 13 year old daughter Cari was hit and killed by a 4-time habitual drunk driver in California.

This was not the only time that Candice had a run in with a drunk driver. When her daughter Cari was just 18 months old, Lightner’s mother was driving the family station wagon when she was rear ended by a drunk driver. Read more »
